There’s a big celebration happening at the Keswick Theatre with a brand-new live theatrical adventure marking the 50TH Anniversary of Clifford the Big Red Dog on Sunday, October 14 at 1 and 4 PM.
Since the first Clifford book was published in 1963, the brand has expanded into more than 70 installments with 126 million copies printed in over 13 countries, includes an Emmy-winning television series in its 12TH season on PBS and has earned a place among the most iconic and beloved characters in children’s literature and entertainment while encouraging children to build critical language and literacy skills.
For 50 years Clifford the Big Red Dog has taught children of all ages big ideas, and timeless values: Share, Play Fair, Have Respect, Work Together, Be Responsible, Be Truthful, Be Kind, Help Others, Believe In Yourself and Be A Good Friend. Using these values, Clifford guides children on a fun-filled journey through childhood and demonstrates that it only takes a little to make a big difference.
Fans of Clifford books and the TV series have a whole new way to enjoy the irresistible oversized pup: in the authorized musical adventure featuring Clifford, Emily Elizabeth and all their friends travelling to Birdwell Island with laughter, songs and dancing the whole family will love.
