Events: My Picks for Halloween Fun in Philly

This weekend is probably one of the most jam packed eventful weekends of the year! Get into the Fall/Halloween spirit with all of these great events, many free, all weekend long.

All Weekend

Owl’s Eye Hay Maze at Woodmere Art Museum

Owl’s Eye Hay Maze is open through October for families and children to enjoy on the grounds of Woodmere Art Museum in Chestnut Hill. The maze is geared towards children ages 4-11. Admission is $8 per child ($6 members) or $20 for families of three or more. Flashlights for tours are available for an additional $3. Spooky Mini Golf at Franklin Square
As dusk draws near, Philly Mini Golf at Franklin Square becomes a magical playground with spooky tricks around every corner! Tickets: $8 (Adult) $6 (Child 12 and under).

The Count’s Halloween Party at Sesame Place
Join The Count and all of his Sesame Street friends for their very own Halloween Party! Enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet, singing, and dancing! Don’t forget to wear your costumes! After all, what fun is a Halloween Party… without the costumes? The Count’s Halloween Party takes place in Dine With Me! Dinner includes Smoked Beef Brisket, Parmesan Crusted Tilapia, Roasted Chicken, Pasta Marinara, Penne Pasta with Alfredo Sauce, Chicken Fingers, Hot Dogs, Mac N’ Cheese, Roasted Vegetables, Mashed Potatoes, Caesar Salad, and Assorted Beverages and Desserts. All dines are assigned seating, if you have a large party and would like to sit together please book under the same last name. Park admission ticket is required.

Trick or Treat Trail at Franklin Square
Come in costume for trick-or-treating and crafts. Plus, face painting and rides on the Lightning Bolt Express. Free from 10a - 5p on Sat and Sun.

Fall Festival at Eurokids Learning Community Center
Halloween spectacular live music, Story Play and Boo-tiful costumes show off from 10a - 4p on Sat and Sun. Free admission. Eurokids Learning Community Center is located at 1134 Pine Street Philadelphia PA 19107

Boo at the Zoo
The Philadelphia Zoo is adding a little green to your Halloween with the return of Boo at the Zoo for two spooky weekends! Put on your favorite costume and join us for a creepy, crawly celebration. Enjoy treats and sweets while playing your favorite Halloween games, listening to live music and much more! Don’t forget to bring a recycled shopping bag or last year’s goodie bag to collect your treats! Sat and Sun 10a - 4p.

Boo Boulevard, Presented by PECO at Please Touch Museum
Please Touch Museum tranforms Enchanted Colonial Villiage exhibit into Boo Boulevard during “Healthy and Safe Halloween Month.” In Addition to animatronic characters from the former Lit Brothers department store, Boo Boulevard will feature festive fall decorations, spooky sounds, and items from PTM’s permanent collection of contemporary and historic toys. Exhibit open during regular museum hours. From now through Halloween Day.

Halloween Flashlight Tours at Laurel Hill Cemetery
Laurel Hill Cemetery’s annual Halloween tours have become a mainstay of the season, but always have something new to offer. Guides will lead you along winding, dimly-lit pathways and through forests of gravestones and sculptures, as you learn about the history of this enchanting site. Along the way, you’ll meet some of Laurel Hill’s most restless spirits, as portrayed by talented local actors, the Not Ready for Afterlife Players. Attendees are advised to wear comfortable shoes, and to bring a flashlight!

After your tour, feast aside fire pits on cookies, hot apple cider and other spooky treats. Dubbed the Ultimate Sport Undertaker Vehicle, FYNLRYD (http://who2c.com/FYNLRYD), a 1947 Pontiac Hearse that has been modified as a street rod, will also be on display for your viewing pleasure. And, Halloweeners will have a chance to memorialize their visit to Laurel Hill within our “Phantom Photo Booth!” Hour-long tours will depart approximately every half-hour beginning at 7:00pm, and continuing until 9:30pm. $20/person Purchase your tickets here.

Free Scary Face Pancakes at IHOP
Get a Free Scary Face Pancake for kids 12 and under on Friday, October 28 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (one per child).

Not-So-Scary Halloween Bash at Little Treehouse
This special event is fun for the whole family as kids can come to the Treehouse dressed in their costumes. All princesses, pirates, mummies and ghouls can enjoy our Halloween kids menu featuring spooky (but healthy and yummy) items such as Brains and Eyeballs (spaghetti and meatballs) and pumpkin shaped pizza. Children will be able to create a fall craft, dance to Halloween music and have a costume parade. All guests in costume will go home with a special Halloween gift. The fun is from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, with the parade starting a 6:00pm. Members of the Little Treehouse can enjoy this event for free. Non-members pay regular admission rates. Cirque Du Soleil Quidam Bus Tour
Kick-off All Hallows’ Eve on Friday, October 28, 2025 with Cirque Du Soleil and the South Street Headhouse District. During this tour stop, families will be able to watch the performers and have a chance to win a variety of prizes including the opportunity to create video postcards that can be sent to friends and family. The street-side show will take place from 5pm-9pm on Passyunk Ave. (between South Street and Bainbridge).

The Lawn Chair Drive-In Screening of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Come out to Race Street Pier Columbus Boulevard at Race Street on the Delaware River from 7p - 9p. In conjunction with the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation and the Friends of Race Street Pier, Lawn Chair Drive-in will host a screening of the 1956 classic, Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Guests are welcome to bring chairs, blankets and picnics but no glass will be permitted.

Annual Pumpkinland Event
On Saturday, October 29, 2025 Philadelphia children will be able to experience the city’s only downtown pumpkin patch at Pumpkinland. Spend the day in the District and enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, a pumpkin decorating activity, kids rock band performance, music and giveaways courtesy of B101, children’s and doggie costume contests, face painting, a roaming magic act, balloon art, and more! The event will take place from 10am-1pm under the Historic Headhouse Shambles located on 2nd Street between Pine and Lombard.

Smith’s Halloween Party
Come out to Smith Memorial Playground from 10a - 1p for games, crafts, activities, treats, and a costume parade. This event is free for members, or $10 per child at the door for non-members. Not a member? Make a contribution of $50 or more here: http://smithkidsplayplace.org/inddonor/

Halloween in Manayunk
Bring your family and friends to trick AND treat safely in the quaint shops and restaurants along Main Street in Manayunk from 12p - 4p. Participating merchants will be marked with a bale of hay, a potted mum and a small pumpkin!

Fall Festival at Plymouth Meeting Mall
Celebrate the changing of the seasons with family fun at Plymouth Meeting Mall’s Fall Festival on Saturday, October 29 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. in Center Court. From interactive games to pumpkin decorating, there will be several festive activities for children of all ages in addition to arts and crafts, prizes and more. The South Philly Vikings of the Philadelphia Mummers will have a special craft and costume station, and the Eagles Pep Band will be strolling around inside and outside on the Plazas. The Fall Festival is free and open to the public.

Pumpkinfest at Franklin Square
Fall-themed fundraiser features trick-or-treat trail, cupcake decorating, unlimited carousel and mini-golf, appearances by WHYY characters, Philadelphia Eagle Winston Justice and more. 3p - 6p. Advance tickets are $35/person; $125 family four-pack; historicphiladelphia.org for tickets.

Rittenhouse Row Family Halloween Celebration
10am-Noon: Start your Trick or Treat adventure at Di Bruno Bros., 1730 Chestnut Street, to register and be judged for the costume contest, enjoy special Halloween activities and pick-up the official trick or treat map. 10am-5pm: Trick or Treating All Over Rittenhouse Row. Costume contest winners will be announced at noon. Register in advance at events@rittenhouserow.org
Spooky Tours at Stenton Mansion
Something spooky has taken over James Logan’s Stenton for Halloween…the exact day Mr. Logan died in 1751! If you dare, take a frightfully fun tour exploring the mysteries of Stenton mansion and the Logan family! Though the house has been empty for many years, for one afternoon the old residents will return to visit their beloved Stenton…If you make it out of the mansion alive, have fun painting a pumpkin to take home! Light refreshments will also be served. 12p - 4p, Free!
Halloween at The Bellevue
Come dressed in your favorite costume and create your own Treat Bag downstairs at The Bellevue Gourmet Food Court from 11a - 2p. Then go trick-or-treating at The Shops and Gourmet Food Court at The Bellevue. Children’s specials available, so stay for lunch! Hope to see you at The BOO-vue!

Trick or Tweet: A Halloween Nestival!
Wrap-up your weekend by taking your little ones to participate in a few not-so-spooky “nestivities” including food, cupcake decorating, decorate your own Halloween tote, Zoo on Wheels, face painting, Monster Mash freeze dance, scavenger hunt and other Halloween fun. The event will take place on Sunday, October 30, 2025 at Nest Philadelphia located on 1301 Locust Street. Cost is free for members and $10 for non-members. The Valley Courtyard First Annual Fall Festival
Fun for the entire family: shopping, candy for the trick or treaters, facepainting, a PONY, vendors, and much, much more. O’Doodle’s, in Chestnust Hill, will once again hold it’s annual Halloween Parade this Sunday – October 30th at 1pm. Come early and get a FREE Professionally photographed Portrait by their favorite Photographer and “Phriend” Becka Leatherman. She will be available from 12:30 to 3pm for Photo Sittings - the glossies will be available for pick the following weekend.

Northern Liberties Halloween and Fall Festival at Liberty Lands Park
Come out from 2p - 5p to this very popular event, featuring hayrides, candy, pumpkins, hot cider, a fire truck, kids in costumes, and more!

Monday 10/31
Healthy and Safe Halloween Day, Presented by PECO at Please Touch Museum
All day, children are invited to trick-or-treat in the most unique neighborhoods in all of space and time! Please Touch Museum presents a healthy and safe Halloween in PTM’s themed galleries. Kids can dress up like an astronaut, put on a tool belt in Busy Build, or dress for a tea party in Wonderland.
