Short on time? Monkey Bread Anyone??

With my husband at night work tonight Sophia and I were invited last minute to my sister’s apartment near by for dinner. I am not one to come empty handed so I wanted to find a quick easy dessert to bring. I was very short on time so I decided to bring the ingredients and make it there without using more than 2 items from her kitchen.

Here are the ingredients:

  • 4 cans refrigerator biscuits (4 pack was $2.59 at Shoprite)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

I mixed the the sugars and cinnamon in a large ziplock bag and threw it into my trusty reusable tote bag along with a stick of butter and my bundt pan.

When I got there I cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and add biscuit pieces, several at a time; shake to coat well. Then place the pieces into the bundt pan.

Bring the remaining sugar mix and butter to a boil in saucepan. Cool 10 minutes, then pour over top of biscuits.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. Allow to cool 15 minutes before removing from pan. Turn upside down to serve.

By the time dinner was done, dessert was ready to eat! I washed my pan there and took it all home. I didn’t leave a huge mess or took a lot of time putting it together.
