My daughter is currently learning her sight words in school. Learning to read is more than just memorizing the words but learning how the letters and sounds come together to create a word. I was given the opportunity to work with Alpha-Bits Cereal and Mom It Forward Blogger Network in sharing with how you can make learning fun and healthy with Alpha-Bits Cereal.
A great way to show kids how letters come together to form a word is with this Sight Words Match Up Game. It’s affordable and super easy to do. Kids will have fun learning and snacking along the way. Here’s what you’ll need:
On each index card write down different sight words your child is being introduced to. Under each letter draw a small box.
After pouring Alpha-Bits into a bowl have the kids look for the matching letters for each word.
Even I got into the fun!
