Review: Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 the ONLY newborn to 2 year infant car seat

There’s no question that a car seat is the top item you need for a new baby. The only problem is deciding which one! It can be overwhelming because it seems like they are all the same. I recently came across one that stood out to me because of what made it different from the others, in a good way! Graco recently introduced it’s SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 infant car seat. It is the ONLY newborn to 2 year infant car seat and that is what caught my attention.

How is this possible you ask? The SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 provides comfort and protection for babies from 4-40lbs. The adjustable base provides the most leg room for your growing baby. It also includes a one hand height-adjustable head rest and no-rethread harness for best head protection and fit to your child.

So what’s the big deal? Why do you need a newborn to 2 year infant car seat? The American Academy of Pediatrics now recommends that all infants should ride rear-facing starting with their first ride home from the hospital. All infants and toddlers should ride in a Rear-Facing Car Seat until they are 2 years of age or until they reach the highest weight or height allowed by their car seat’s manufacturer.

There’s not many baby products out there that can last your child from newborn to 2 years out. Talk about more bang for your buck!

I got to check this car seat out first hand at a home party with other local moms and there are a few other things that I just loved! First was the 8-position, one-touch base adjustment for precision leveling that allows your newborn to stay reclined in the car without their heads falling forward (a big problem I had with my previous infant car seat). The 8-position adjustment also allows you to adjust as your child grows. Second is the height adjustable headrest with no re-thread harness. That’s right! You can easily adjust the height of the straps with an easy button in the back of the car seat. No need to undo the entire car seat and re-thread the straps! Can you say “hallelujah!”?

Here are other features of the SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40:

  • 8-position, one-touch base adjustment for precision leveling
  • Rigorously crash tested to meet or exceed U.S. safety standards
  • Safe Seat Engineered* (*safeseat engineering includes side impact testing, testing at 2x car seat standard, and testing to extreme car interior temperatures)
  • Side-impact tested* (*In addition to meeting or exceeding all applicable US safety standards, the SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 car seat has been side impact tested for occupant retention by the harness system)

The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
