The Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter High School is opening in September on 16th and Vine St. and we would love for you to spread the word. Unlike other charter schools in Philadelphia, this is the first charter high school dedicated to the arts and sciences. In order to produce high achieving, creative and accelerated students, the school will be centered on the STEAM education model. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) is now a growing national trend, but String Theory Schools paved the way for others with its trailblazing Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School (PPACS), sister of the new high school. In fact, PPACS will be accepting the Apple Distinguished School and Distinguished Educator Awards on 4/22 for its innovation, leadership and compelling learning environment.
Eighth grade students can submit a lottery application through April 30th by visiting www.stringtheoryschools.com.
The high school will be equipped with top-notch amenities: vocal, instrumental and ballet studios; state-of-the-art science facilities; an automotive/engineering lab; a digital media center stocked with iPads; a high-end motion capture television studio, and more.
String Theory Schools will host an open house event on 4/27 for families in Philadelphia interested in learning more about the new high school.
