The Wawa Welcome America Festival is jammed packed full of events this year over 11 days and they didn’t leave the kids out on the fun. It’s never too early to start teaching your kids the true spirit of Independence Day especially in Philadelphia. On June 27th, 28th and July 2nd bring the kids out to Go 4th and Learn.

Go 4th and Learn About History at Franklin Square

Mayor Nutter and local celebs share Historical Story Time with children from 10am – Noon. Don’t miss the Wawa Dairy exhibit where you can get a lesson in cow-milking and more. The first 200 participating children will receive a free book.
Tuesday, June 28th 10am
Go 4th and Learn About Performance Art at The Dell Music Center
Learn all about music, dance and art at the Dell Music Center from 10am – Noon. The first 200 participating children will receive a free book.
Saturday, July 2nd 11am
Go 4th and Learn About Science at The Franklin Institute
Kids’ faces light up as they delve into the science of fireworks from 11am – 1pm. Afterwards, participants can explore the museum’s other exhibits and learning spaces such as the beloved Giant Heart.
Again it’s never too late to share with your children the history of Philadelphia and with Go 4th and Learn it makes it fun.
