Philadelphia Zoo hosts its annual “Boo at the Zoo” Halloween celebration for two spooky weekends on Saturday and Sunday, October 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Children are encouraged to come in costume, visit their favorite animals and trick-or-treat at stations throughout the Zoo, collecting sweets and treats along the way. Guests in costume are invited to participate in a parade each day at 12 p.m.. This wild extravaganza also features storytelling, games, crafts and live musical performances from The Paisley Pickles and Cris & Lou on the Fisher Price® Little People Stage at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each day.
Set out on a scavenger hunt and discover your favorite animals in the form of life-size scarecrows, take a picture in front of the giant pumpkin wall and visit the spooky “extinction graveyard” to learn about the extinct species around the world and those that could be extinct in the wild in just 15 years! Be sure to stop by the penguin pumpkin patch for a creative demonstration of recycling with a milk cartoon igloo. Enjoy festive fall offerings, including hot apple cider, Halloween sippers filled with a witch’s brew, reusable trick-or-treat bags and much more. New this year, visit the Deforestation Free Palm Oil Zone, which spotlights orangutan and big cat-friendly candy. Learn how you can help save these species this Halloween.
Don’t forget you can get discount tickets to the Philadelphia Zoo at area ACME Markets.
