Ted Allen, host of the Food Network’s Chopped, graces Friday’s festivities with a cooking demonstration and book-and-bottle signing to kick off foodie festivities. More than 100 exhibitors dot the streets of the Grand Market, where guests can sample eats and pours from area eateries and national brands alike. The Taste of Italy Pavilion imports authentic flavors directly from Italy, allowing guests to sip fine wine, nibble cheese, and nosh gourmet olives with flavors as strong as bathtub gin distilled by Hulk Hogan. General-admission tickets score bearers access to culinary demonstrations by accomplished chefs, including DJ-chef Marc Weiss, who dishes up palate-pleasing creations while simultaneously scratching turntables until they purr rhythmically.
This deal also includes a $5 token good toward purchases at most festival vendor booths for Friday and Sunday visitors only; the token will not be given on Saturday.
