This Saturday from 9:30am to 1pm is the Great Sleepy Bear Swap at the Philadelphia Zoo. Local children across Philadelphia are invited to bring a gently-used stuffed animal to the Philadelphia Zoo, where they can swap it for a brand new Sleepy Bear teddy bear and receive free admission to the zoo that day.  Children will also be able to participate in a number of kid-friendly activities such as face painting throughout the day.

While free admission will be limited to the first 100 children, everyone visiting the zoo is invited to participate. There will be photo opportunities with Sleepy Bear, take-home National Geographic activity booklets and a meet and greet with one of the zoo’s bear experts. Additional teddy bears will also be offered to all guests, while supplies last, along with Sleepy Bear masks and temporary paw print tattoos. All collected stuffed animals will be donated to charity and for each collected Travelodge will donate three new Sleepy Bear teddy bears with a goal of donating more than 5,000 stuffed animals by the conclusion of Travelodge’s The Great Sleepy Bear Swap.
