Everyone is invited to make the most of summer at Linvilla Orchards annual Tomato and Pear Festival! You can enjoy the outdoors while picking fresh tomatoes and pears that are ripe, juicy and bursting with flavor. Picking starts at 8 am, Saturday, August 18th.

Classes and activities are scheduled all day long to entertain parents and kids alike. Kids will love to see the Piccirillo Sciencetellers! They’ll be making slime, playing with colder than ice liquid nitrogen, and using their science and storytelling skills to create a high-energy, educational performance called Potions! If that’s not enough to keep the kids happy and excited, they’ll love seeing a host of costumed characters like Mr. Mouse, Absorbent Sea Creature, and Mystery Dog.

There will be face painting, pony rides, games and contests, ice-cream, and plenty of delicious food. Adults will get the chance to develop their green thumbs at any number of great gardening classes including: Terrarium Gardening, Basic Perennial Gardening, Herb Gardening 101, and Making Succulent Troughs!

Learn to cook with scrumptious produce, pick up some new recipes, and sample delicious summertime flavors. Or treat yourself to some great local honey after visiting Linvilla’s own Bee Keeper, Warren Graham! Pick up some savory salsa, apple cider, freshly baked pies and other sweet treats.
