A Philly native, born and raised. SAHM with a background in marketing. I’m a proud mom to a little girl and a baby boy! I’m married to a Philadelphia Firefighter so I’ll be in this city for a very long time. This is our home and I want my family to experience everything this city has to offer.
My parents are immigrants from Vietnam and after coming to this county with nothing but the clothes on their backs, literally, they started a family. I look up to my parents. To grow up and to see them struggle with having nothing to now living what is called the “American Dream” is amazing to me. It didn’t happen overnight and because of them I know that anything is possible. They didn’t live beyond their means, they shopped wisely and they were not wasteful. They are and continue to be my inspiration.
As the oldest of 3 I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a mother and a wife. I believe that you do not have to spend a lot of money to have a happy family. However when you do it needs to be the best price and worth every penny! Research is key and I want the very best, not always the priciest. I know every family is different but we all want ways to save.

I created this blog because I wanted to share with people what I am passionate about… my family, about what we do, where/what we eat, where we go and how we do it all. To your child it doesn’t matter how much money you spend on them but how much time you spend with them. I hope this will be an excellent resource to find not only deals and family fun events but a place filled with helpful tips from one mom and wife to another.

I love everything about your site. Very inspiring to hear how you focus on the beauty in life through simplicity and smart financial decisions. And how you want to share your knowledge with other moms. It’s hard for me to practice, I think because it seems moms are the most marketed to group on the planet and everyone seems to have an opinion on what we need.
Hi Linda,
Love your site!
I am with a company called CitySolve, and we are hosting a fun amazing race style scavenger hunt in Philly on april 20. Sound cool?
We can offer your members a half off discount on tickets to our race, in return for Frugal Philly Mom e-blasting and promoting the event to your community.
Let me know your thoughts.
Best,
Chris
